Truck Technician | PERMANENT CONTRACT | Wortegem-Petegem

For a truck garage, we are looking for a technician with experience and a passion for mechanical maintenance and repairs. Do you work accurately and independently, and are you looking for a place where your preferences and talents are valued? Then keep reading!

  • Receiving a work order from the team leader with details about the vehicle and a task checklist
  • Independently performing maintenance and repairs on trucks
  • You’ll be responsible for completing tasks from start to finish, but can always rely on your colleagues for support with questions or technical challenges
  • Your preferences matter: whether you prefer focusing on maintenance or specializing in troubleshooting, the planning is tailored to what you enjoy doing

Aanbod

 PERMANENT CONTRACT
  • Salary negotiable based on your experience and previous earnings
  • Meal vouchers worth €5 per day after 6 months of employment 
  • A work schedule of 38/40 hours per week, with 12 paid ADV days
  • WORK SCHEDULE: New employees work Monday and Tuesday, 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and Wednesday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. After permanent employment, you can choose a 4-day workweek (9 hours per day) with a day off of your choice + this includes working on Saturday mornings
  • Flexible vacation planning: No collective leave during the summer; holidays are planned in consultation with your team, up to a maximum of 3 weeks
  • Important: No leave is possible during the Christmas holidays, as this is the busiest period

Vaardigheden

  • At least 3 years of experience in automotive or truck mechanics, with a strong focus on mechanical work (knowledge of electric motors is not required)
  • You work accurately and have an eye for quality
  • You are fluent in Dutch or English
